This summer, from Wednesday, June 20 - Monday, June 25 we will be riding the C&O Canal Towpath from Cumberland, Maryland to Washington, DC. Whether you're a seasoned pro at biking or relatively new, this trip is an exciting chance to grow personally, experience beautiful scenery, and enjoy faith-building bible study along the way. Each day, we share meals together, a time of Bible study, a few hours of biking, and lots of laughter. Throughout our trip, we'll stay at a mix of hotels, campgrounds, and even a cabin that offers an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. A support vehicle will carry our camping gear so that we can focus on riding and enjoying the trail. Read on for specific information for this year's trip!

Anyone 14 years or older who can ride a bike around 40 miles a day.

WHAT IS THE ITINERARY?
Wednesday 6/20: Meet at Community of Hope at 5:30 AM. Load gear into the van and drive to Cumberland, MD. Ride about 40 miles to Little Orleans. Camp at the Fifteen Mile Creek Reservation.
Thursday 6/21: Ride about 40 miles to Williams Port. Stay at the Red Roof Inn.
Friday 6/22: Ride about 40 miles to Harpers Ferry, WV. Stay at the Town's Inn Hostel.
Saturday 6/23: Ride about 40 miles to Swains Lock. Camp at Swain's Lock #21.
Sunday 6/24: Ride into Washington D.C, have a free day in the city, and take the 4:00 PM Amtrak train back to Cumberland, MD. Stay at the Fairfield Inn.
Monday 6/25: Depart from Cumberland and drive back to Cleveland.
HOW MUCH WILL IT Cost:
The approximate cost for this trip will be $280 per person for those willing to share a room on the hotel nights, not including the price of one meal out each day.
What about Food?
We will provide one group meal each day that we are riding, and eat one meal out at a restaurant. At some lodging, breakfast is included. We recommend bringing breakfast/snack items such as granola bars, pop tarts, applesauce pouches, instant coffee packets, hot chocolate packets, tea bags, apples, oranges, peanut butter packets, nuts, and trail mix that work well on the trail. We will go over more specifics at our pre-departure meeting.
